Job summary

Mashreq seeks a Senior Project Finance Manager in the United Arab Emirates to oversee governance and financial reporting for bank-wide technology projects. You will work closely with the Transformation Office and Tech leadership to review business cases, drive budget management, and provide timely dashboards to stakeholders.

The role requires 5–8 years in banking project finance, strong analytical ability, proficiency with project/financial software, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• Master’s in Finance/Accounting or CA/MBA Finance with 5-8 years in banking tech project finance.
• Knowledge of projects and program management and tech project topics.
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in project/financial software and tools.
• Excellent problem solving and ability to build stakeholder relationships.
• Effective communication skills and teamwork.
• Fluent in English.
• Team player.

Responsibilities

• Drive tech project financial reporting in close alignment with Transformation Office.
• Critical financial evaluation of executive summaries/CapEx proposals and ensure all elements are captured as per standard.
• Ensure all relevant documentation and approvals are stored in the Central Project repository.
• Create project in Oracle system and assign the budget as approved and monitor the same.
• Provide timely financial reports/dashboards to stakeholders on project financials.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Transformation Office, CAD for capitalization and recording of Fixed Assets.
• Alert management on cost overruns and underutilization of budgets.
• Validate chargeability, item codes, GL in Oracle procurement.
• On project closure, ensure closing in system and coordinate with CPD for unused LPOs.
