Job summary

ADNOC is seeking an experienced Workshop Manager to lead the offshore diving maintenance team. You will oversee planning, storage, and dispatch of materials, while ensuring safety and operational excellence in all workshop activities.

Responsibilities include leading lean improvements (5S), coordinating with stakeholders, and maintaining documentation and inventory for diving equipment such as ROVs, umbilicals, and LARS. A strong safety culture and offshore experience are essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical or Mechatronics preferred).
  • 10+ years hands-on maintenance in diving equipment; 5+ years in a managerial role.
  • 5+ years offshore experience.
  • Experience with diving equipment (ROV, Umbilicals, LARS, etc.).
  • Valid UAE Driver’s License.
  • IMCA Air Dive Supervisor Certificate, H2S Awareness / Escape BA Training, HUET, CICPA eligibility, ROV maintenance course.

  • Plan and supervise the preparation, storage, and dispatch of materials and equipment to ensure timely and efficient operations.
  • Lead the workshop team in executing maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with safety standards and operational excellence.
  • Review and recommend improvements in workshop processes to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  • Oversee the implementation of HSE policies and procedures within the workshop environment.
  • Facilitate the development and execution of maintenance planning strategies and schedules.
  • Supervise the inspection and testing of equipment to ensure quality and reliability.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to meet operational requirements and resolve issues.
  • Monitor and manage spare parts inventory to ensure availability and cost-effectiveness.
  • Prepare and review technical documentation, including engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Lead the implementation of lean practices, such as the '5S Model,' to improve workshop operations.
  • Guide the team in troubleshooting and resolving technical challenges.
  • Promote a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the workshop team.

About the Job:

Leads the workshop team to ensure the effective planning, execution, and management of maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with safety standards and operational excellence. Responsible for overseeing the preparation, storage, and dispatch of materials and equipment, while maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency. Ensures alignment with organizational goals and contributes to the development of strategies to optimize workshop operations and resource utilization. Promotes a culture of safety, innovation, and continuous improvement within the team. Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to meet operational requirements and achieve business objectives. Provides leadership and guidance to the team, fostering professional growth and development. Ensures adherence to company policies, procedures, and international

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Job Specific:

Budgets and Operational Plans
  • Compile and provide input for preparation of the Department budgets and regularly monitor expenditure against approved the team budget levels.
  • Investigate, highlight, and reconcile any significant variances to ensure effective performance and cost control.
Minimum Requirtments:
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical or Mechatronics preferred).
  • A minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in the maintenance of diving equipment with at least five (5) years of this experience must have been in a managerial or supervisory position.
  • Five (05) years of offshore experience.
  • Experienced in all forms of diving equipment (ROV, Umbilical’s, LARS etc.)
  • Valid UAE Driver’s License
PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATIONS:
  • IMCA Air Dive Supervisor Certificate (must be current)
  • Valid H2S Awareness / Escape BA Training.
  • Offshore survival with valid Helicopter Underwater Escape Training (HUET)
  • Must be able to gain CICPA for all UAE sites
  • Valid technical/maintenance course for ROV System
