Job summary

Responsibilities

Job description

A. Team Supervision and Work Allocation

1. Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of signage production, fabrication, printing, vinyl application, and installation personnel.

2. Allocate tasks to team members according to their skills, experience, workload, and project priorities.

3. Provide technical guidance and practical support to team members to ensure efficient and accurate execution of assigned work.

4. Monitor employee attendance, punctuality, productivity, and discipline within the team.

5. Ensure that team members understand their assigned duties, production targets, and completion deadlines.

6. Train and guide new employees on fabrication techniques, application methods, equipment operation, quality standards, and workplace safety.

7. Encourage teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement in production activities.

B. Production Planning and Coordination

1. Review daily work orders, approved drawings, artwork, specifications, and production schedules before commencing work.

2. Coordinate with the production manager, graphic designers, printing operators, and other departments to ensure the smooth execution of signage projects.

3. Plan and organize production activities to meet project deadlines and customer requirements.

4. Monitor job progress and take corrective action to prevent delays, bottlenecks, and unnecessary downtime.

5. Ensure that the required materials, tools, equipment, and manpower are available before starting assigned jobs.

6. Coordinate the preparation, packing, transportation, and dispatch of completed signage products for delivery or installation.

7. Report production progress, pending jobs, resource requirements, and operational issues to management.

C. Signage Fabrication and Technical Oversight

1. Supervise the fabrication of acrylic signs, 3D letters, illuminated signs, metal signboards, nameplates, display units, and other signage products, as applicable.

2. Monitor vinyl application, sticker installation, large-format graphics application, and other finishing activities.

3. Ensure that fabrication and installation work follows approved drawings, measurements, materials, colors, and specifications.

4. Verify dimensions, alignment, assembly, finishing, and other technical requirements before products proceed to the next production stage.

5. Coordinate with electricians and technical personnel regarding LED lighting, wiring, illumination, and testing of illuminated signage, where applicable.

6. Identify technical problems during fabrication or installation and coordinate appropriate corrective action.

7. Ensure that completed signage products are properly prepared and protected before delivery or installation.

D. Material and Equipment Management

1. Monitor the consumption of acrylic sheets, aluminum, metal, vinyl, LED modules, adhesives, printing materials, and other production supplies.

2. Ensure the proper use and economical consumption of materials to minimize wastage and unnecessary costs.

3. Coordinate with the storekeeper or procurement team regarding material shortages and replenishment requirements.

4. Ensure that tools, machines, and equipment are used correctly and maintained in good working condition.

5. Report equipment breakdowns, maintenance requirements, and safety concerns to the responsible department.

6. Ensure that leftover materials, tools, and equipment are stored properly after completion of work.

E. Site Installation and Project Execution

1. Coordinate and supervise signage installation activities at customer premises, commercial buildings, retail outlets, and project sites.

2. Ensure that installation teams carry the required signage materials, tools, equipment, and fixing accessories before departure.

3. Verify site measurements, installation locations, access requirements, and other relevant conditions before installation.

4. Ensure that signage is installed securely, accurately, and according to approved drawings and site requirements.

5. Coordinate with project representatives, clients, contractors, and other site personnel regarding installation activities.

6. Monitor installation progress and ensure that site work is completed within the agreed schedule.

7. Ensure that the installation area is cleaned and that tools, equipment, and waste materials are removed after completion.

8. Report site difficulties, additional work requirements, damages, or deviations from approved specifications to management.

F. Reporting and Administrative Responsibilities

1. Maintain daily records of assigned jobs, production progress, completed work, pending activities, and material usage, as required.

2. Report employee attendance, manpower allocation, overtime requirements, and productivity concerns to the Production Manager.

3. Inform management of project delays, material shortages, quality issues, and other matters affecting production or installation schedules.

4. Participate in production meetings and provide updates on job status, operational challenges, and resource requirements.

5. Ensure that company tools, materials, equipment, and customer property are handled responsibly.

6. Perform other related duties assigned by management within the scope of the position.
