Job summary

Jumeirah Beach Hotel, Dubai, is seeking a Team Lead - Food & Beverage to oversee day-to-day operations, motivate the team, and ensure guest interactions are professional and discreet.

The ideal candidate has 2–3 years’ experience in international hospitality, a high school diploma with basic Food & Hygiene Training, strong English skills, and a proactive approach to service recovery.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of experience in hospitality, preferably international
• Proficiency in English is essential; additional languages are a plus
• High school diploma and basic Food and Hygiene Training required
• Strong problem-solving abilities and proactive guest service approach

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day activities and guide the team to achieve goals
• Delegate tasks, develop timelines, and brief staff across departments
• Ensure guests are greeted and attended to professionally and discreetly
• Prepare reports and maintain filing systems
• Manage stock, inventories, vendor directories, and contracts
• Submit purchase orders and ensure accurate expense allocation
• Report operational issues to the Supervisor and escalate as needed

About the Job

An exciting opportunity hasarisen for a Team Lead - Food & Beverage to join Jumeirah Beach Hotel, Dubai.

The main duties and responsibilities of this role include:

• Oversee day-to-day activities, motivate and guide the team to achieve goals, and lead by example with compassion, honesty, and integrity.
• Develop and implement timelines, delegate tasks, and brief staff on duties across various departments.
• Ensure personnel, clients, and guests are greeted and attended professionally and discreetly.
• Compile duty rosters and advise on changes as necessary.
• Prepare reports and maintain appropriate filing systems.
• Manage stock, inventories, vendor directories, and contract agreements.
• Oversee processes related to vendor registration, code creation, price updates, and submitting purchase orders, ensuring accurate expense allocation.
• Report operational problems, conflicts, incidents, and technical glitches to the Supervisor.

About You

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

• 2 - 3 years of experience, preferably with an international hospitality company
• Experience of working in an international capacity and a clear understanding of cultural differences showcasing trust and respect for everyone
• High school diploma and basic Food and Hygiene Training.
• Proficiency in English is essential; additional language skills are highly desirable.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to handling guest requests and service recovery.
