Aldar Education in Abu Dhabi is seeking a passionate Teacher of Humanities to deliver engaging lessons aligned with an American curriculum. This role focuses on developing students' critical thinking and historical understanding while supporting their academic growth.

Teacher - Humanities hiring in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates within the Education sector offers an excellent opportunity for passionate educators who can deliver engaging Humanities lessons in a leading American curriculum school. This role focuses on developing critical thinking, historical understanding, global awareness, and academic excellence while supporting student growth through advanced teaching standards and a high-quality learning environment.

Location: Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates

Salary: 11,000-16,000 AED per month

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver inspiring Humanities lessons that help students achieve strong academic outcomes
• Plan and prepare engaging lessons aligned with curriculum standards and school teaching objectives
• Create a positive and intellectually stimulating classroom environment that promotes critical thinking and active participation
• Organise classroom resources, learning displays, and teaching materials that support strong student engagement
• Teach students across different ability levels using effective differentiation strategies and targeted interventions
• Assess student progress regularly and use academic data to improve lesson planning and learning outcomes
• Maintain accurate student development records using Target Tracker and school assessment systems
• Support students where English is an additional language through inclusive and effective teaching methods
• Follow behaviour management policies and maintain strong classroom discipline with positive reinforcement
• Contribute to curriculum action groups, extracurricular activities, school events, and weekly ECA programmes

Ideal Profile

• Bachelor's Degree in the relevant subject with B.Ed. or PGCE Education qualification
• Strong experience teaching AP, IB, or A-Levels standard is required
• Previous international school experience is an advantage
• Previous experience teaching students where English is not their first language
• Passion for teaching and commitment to educating the whole child
• High level of professionalism with strong focus on student wellbeing and safeguarding
• Recent and consistent involvement in extracurricular activities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with students, parents, and colleagues
• Positive and solution-focused attitude toward teaching and teamwork
• Clean enhanced police clearance or Disclosure and Barring Services check
