Responsibilities
- Teach Humanities lessons in line with British Curriculum standards and school academic expectations.
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons that build student understanding of history, geography, culture, society, and global issues.
- Prepare lesson plans, learning resources, classroom activities, assignments, and assessments.
- Encourage students to develop critical thinking, inquiry skills, research ability, and responsible citizenship.
- Monitor student progress, assess coursework, and provide constructive feedback to improve academic outcomes.
- Use differentiated teaching methods to support students with different learning needs and achievement levels.
- Maintain a positive, disciplined, and inclusive classroom environment that promotes active participation.
- Support curriculum planning, assessment review, and academic documentation as required by the department.
- Communicate professionally with parents, colleagues, and school leadership regarding student progress.
- Follow KHDA-related teaching expectations and contribute to school improvement goals.
Ideal Profile
- Hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Humanities or a related subject (mandatory).
- Have a minimum of 1 year of UAE experience in a British Curriculum school.
- Possess experience teaching Humanities at school level (preferred).
- Demonstrate excellent English communication skills.
- Show knowledge of KHDA framework and inspection expectations (advantage).
- Display strong classroom management, lesson planning, and student engagement skills.
- Ability to support academic progress through clear instruction and meaningful learning activities.
- Be professional, organized, and committed to high teaching standards.
- Candidates under own visa or spouse visa will be preferred.
- Candidate must be physically present in the UAE.
