Job summary

Remotedxb is seeking a payroll tax operations specialist in Dubai to own end-to-end tax notices and liaise with federal, state, and local agencies. You will serve as the primary contact for partners and agencies via portals, email, or phone, and identify systemic patterns for escalation.

The ideal candidate has 2-4 years in payroll tax or related fields, with strong organizational skills and experience navigating unfamiliar tax agencies.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of experience in payroll tax, tax operations, compliance, or notice resolution.
• Experience with federal (IRS/SSA), state, and local agencies.
• Proficiency in agency communication and operational/filing work.
• Strong organizational and methodical approach to managing multiple open issues.
• Ability to research and navigate unfamiliar tax agencies.

Responsibilities

• Own tax notice issues end-to-end across federal, state, or local agencies.
• Communicate directly with partners regarding notice status or tax accounts.
• Act as the direct point of contact with agencies via portals, email, or phone.
• Identify patterns in notices that may indicate systemic issues and escalate to relevant teams.
