Job summary

Gulf Energy Maritime is actively seeking a Tanker Ship Operator in Dubai to manage the day-to-day commercial and operational duties for assigned tankers. The role requires coordinating with masters, charterers, agents and brokers to ensure efficient vessel operations and contract compliance.

The successful candidate will monitor operations, handle demurrage and other claims, and assist the chartering team with Pre & Post fixture management in a dynamic, on-site Dubai environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in tanker ship operations of at least 2 years; sea-going on tankers is ideal.
• Knowledge of charter party forms and tanker cargo operations.
• Strong organizational and planning skills with ability to manage multiple vessels and stakeholders under time constraints.
• Effective written and verbal communication in English; able to collaborate in a multicultural environment.
• Proficiency with maritime software, fleet management systems and standard office tools.

Responsibilities

• Oversee safe, efficient day-to-day commercial and operational management of assigned tankers.
• Coordinate with masters, charterers, agents and brokers to optimize operations.
• Monitor vessel operations and ensure adherence to charter party terms.
• Handle demurrage and other claims; support Pre & Post fixture management.
