Job summary

First Tech is seeking a Capability & Growth Manager to design and improve performance and development frameworks across the Group. You will act as the Centre of Excellence for performance management, learning and leadership development, and succession planning to strengthen capability and retain talent.

You will build practical programmes, partner with People Partners and Total Rewards, and ensure alignment with job architecture while managing external providers and measuring impact with data.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, OD, Business Administration or related field.
• Six+ years in learning and development or related fields.
• Proven experience designing and implementing performance management frameworks.
• Experience developing learning programmes and leadership initiatives.
• Knowledge of succession planning, career pathways and internal mobility.
• Strong programme design, facilitation and stakeholder management.
• Ability to translate business needs into practical solutions.
• Data-driven with ability to use feedback to improve programmes.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills with senior leaders.

Responsibilities

• Design and continually improve the Group’s performance management framework.
• Equip managers with tools, training and guidance to manage performance.
• Identify capability gaps and translate into development priorities.
• Build and manage L&D curriculum, programmes and delivery.
• Design leadership development for people managers.
• Establish succession planning frameworks with People Partners.
• Develop internal mobility and career pathways.
• Partner with People Partners to embed growth initiatives across the Group.
• Work with Total Rewards to align career pathways with job levels.
• Select and manage external learning providers.
• Track participation, effectiveness and impact using data.
• Manage L&D expenditure within the approved budget.
