Job summary

Al Etihad Payments administers, automates and secures its Linux server estate, focusing on Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Satellite and Ansible Tower. The role ensures a stable, compliant Linux infrastructure for critical payment services.

Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree in a related field and 5+ years of enterprise Linux experience, with RHCE/RHCSA or Ansible/Satellite certifications preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Linux system administration experience in enterprise environments.
• RHCE, RHCSA or Red Hat Ansible/Satellite certification is preferred.

• Develop, maintain and run Ansible playbooks and automation via Ansible Tower.

About the role

Administer, automate and secure Al Etihad Payments' Linux server estate, with a primary focus on Red Hub Enterprise Linux, Red Hub Satellite and Ansible Automation Platform (Tower). The role ensures stable, compliant and efficiently managed Linux infrastructure for critical payment services.

What You’ll Do:

Linux Server Administration

• Install, configure and maintain RHEL and other Linux distributions across physical, virtual and cloud environments.
• Manage file systems, LVM, storage, networking, users and services.
• Monitor system performance and resolve incidents and problems within agreed SLAs.

Red Hat Satellite & Patch Management

• Administer Red Hat Satellite for subscription, content and lifecycle management.
• Plan and execute patching cycles, errata management and OS upgrades with minimal service disruption.
• Maintain standard builds and provisioning templates.

Automation (Ansible Tower)

• Develop, maintain and run Ansible playbooks and roles through Ansible Automation Platform.
• Automate provisioning, configuration, compliance checks and routine operations.
• Manage inventories, credentials, job templates and RBAC within Ansible Tower.

Security & Compliance

• Apply CIS and organizational hardening baselines, SELinux and access controls.
• Remediate vulnerabilities and support PCI DSS and CBUAE audit requirements.
• Maintain technical documentation, SOPs and configuration records.

Qualifications & Years of Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in Linux system administration in enterprise environments.
• Preferred certifications: RHCE, RHCSA, Red Hat Certified Specialist in Ansible Automation or Satellite.

• Shell and Python scripting.
• Virtualization (VMware, KVM) and basic cloud knowledge.
• Clustering (Pacemaker) and high availability concepts.
