Job summary

Vertiv seeks a Sustaining Engineering Supervisor to lead sustaining activities within the busbar division and mentor a small team. The role blends technical leadership with hands-on problem solving to enhance product quality, manufacturability, and operations readiness.

Ideal candidates have strong engineering fundamentals, manufacturing process knowledge, and a track record guiding teams through complex challenges in engineered-to-order environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 5+ years in product design, sustaining engineering, or related function preferred.
• Strong experience with 3D modeling and 2D drafting.
• Experience leading technical problem solving and driving issues to resolution.
• Experience with design for manufacturability, BOMs, drawings, and engineering changes.

Responsibilities

• Lead sustaining engineering activities, including prioritization of technical issues and design updates.
• Provide day-to-day coaching and development support for a team of engineers.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and operations to resolve design-related production issues.
