Vertiv in Dubai is seeking a Sustaining Engineer to respond to design-related production issues, manage the lifecycle of Busbar designs, and improve design for manufacturability in an Engineered-To-Order environment.

In this fast-paced role you will identify and cross-functionally coordinate DFM improvements, provide design support for production and supply chain constraints, and assist NPDI while ensuring ETO designs meet quality standards before release.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• 1-3+ years of experience in product design.
• 1-3+ years of experience in 3D modeling / 2D drafting.
• Experience in Design for Manufacturability.
• 1-3+ years of experience in Sheet Metal and Copper Design.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.

Job Description

Position Summary

The Sustaining Engineer is responsible for providing immediate response to design-related production issues, managing the Product Lifecycle for Busbar designs, and improving Design for Manufacturability. Busbar is an Engineered-To-Order (ETO) product, which means each customer order is specifically engineered. This generally leads to higher complexity and variation for departments supporting this product family. This position is ideal for individuals seeking a fast-paced environment that fosters problem-solving and continuous improvement.
