Petrofac is seeking a Senior Superintendent - Construction (Lifting) to lead lifting and rigging operations at an Abu Dhabi site. You will develop lift schedules, select cranes and gear, and ensure safety and environmental excellence on all lifts, while coordinating method statements, JSA’s, and daily site audits.

The role requires extensive lifting/rigging background in international EPC contexts, with strong knowledge of ASME, OHSA, LOLER, and OPITO training, and the ability to train crews and

Competenze

• Maximum years of experience in rigging & lifting site experience in direct hire construction with an international oil & gas EPC company and with subcontractors overseeing or managing project lifting and rigging operation in all stages including modular, static, rotating equipment’s as well as heavy/oversize transport operation.
• Minimum years’ experience as a rigging supervisor.
• Minimum years’ experience as a Lifting Superintendent.
• Must be college graduate preferably an engineer in profession.
• Experience working in the CIS/FSU, Middle East, and/or North Africa.
• Experience with diverse international workforce.
• Knowledge of ASME, OHSA and LOLER regulations.
• Formal OPITO-accredited training (NPORS BV or equivalent).
• Able to produce working reports and coordinate SIMOPS.
• Knowledge of lifting drawings and calculations; review/approve lift plans and lift studies.

• Ensure all personnel involved in lifting / hauling operation are trained, competent and 3rd party certified.
• Conducting training of rigging personnel, VOC assessments and maintaining such records at site.
• Reviewing and approving lift plan, rigging & lifting procedure and lift studies including subcontractor’s lift plan.
• Confirming there is an effective procedure for reporting defects and incidents and taking any corrective action.

Essential Qualifications And Skills

• Minimum years’ experience as a rigging supervisor.

• Preference will be given to candidates who meet the following criteria:
• Experience working in the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS/FSU), Middle East, and/or North Africa
• Prior experience working with a diverse international workforc
• Good communications skills
• Have an extensive lifting and Rigging International Standards knowledge like ASME, OHSA and LOLER Regulations.
• Trained and competent for the task in accordance with local legal requirements whenever applicable i.e. Abu Dhabi EHSMS – EHS Code of Practice 34.0: Safe use of Lifting Equipment and Lifting Accessories
• Have formal training by an approved third-party training institute and accredited by OPITO i.e. NPORS BV (or equivalent 3rd part training), letters from the Crane Supplier will NOT be accepted
• Able to produce working reports
• Able to coordinate possible SIMOPS
• Able to train and qualify riggers, rigging supervisors and crane operators.
• Must have working knowledge and interpretation skills of lifting drawing and calculations and provide guidance to subcontractors. Capable of reviewing and approving lift plans/studies, rigging & lifting procedures.
• Also, able to generate project lifting & rigging procedures when necessary.
• Have general knowledge in the inspection of lifting gears and equipment’s like overhead cranes, gantry, davit arms winches and others.
