Job summary

Hatch and Hire Staffing Solutions FZE is seeking a hands-on Electrical Substation Test Engineer to lead testing, commissioning, and maintenance activities for GIS/AIS switchgear, transformers, and related substations in the UAE. You will review schematics, prepare FAT/SAT documents, ensure compliance with IEC/IEEE standards, and provide technical support during project execution.

GCC experience is mandatory, with familiarity with major manufacturers such as Siemens, ABB, Schneider, GE, and SEL.

Qualifications

2-8 years hands-on experience in testing, commissioning, and maintenance (substations/power plants).
GCC experience mandatory.
Proven experience with major manufacturers (Siemens, ABB, Schneider, GE, SEL, etc.).
Proficiency in preparing testing procedures, FAT/SAT and technical reports.

Responsibilities

Perform testing & commissioning of switchgears up to 33kV and related substation equipment.
Test transformers up to and including DC chargers in substations.
Prepare detailed testing and preventive maintenance schedules for protection systems and equipment.
Prepare method statements, testing procedures, FAT/SAT documents, and client test reports.
Ensure timely submission of technical documentation and reports.
