Qualifications

• Minimum 35 years of proven experience as a Structural Fabricator in construction, oil & gas or industrial fabrication projects.
• Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, BOMs and fabrication sketches.
• Certification in welding or structural fabrication is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints and fabrication sketches to determine build specifications.
• Cut, bend, weld and assemble metal components using fabrication tools and machinery.
• Fabricate structural steel parts such as beams, frames, platforms, brackets and supports as per project requirements.
• Conduct measurements, marking and layout preparation of materials before fabrication.
• Perform MIG, TIG, SMAW and other welding techniques to complete fabrication tasks.
• Operate tools and machinery including grinders, plasma cutters, shears, drill presses and cranes safely.
• Inspect fabricated components for dimensional accuracy and structural integrity.
• Ensure all assembly and welding practices comply with project specifications and safety standards.
• Collaborate with engineers, welders and site supervisors for timely project execution.
• Maintain tools, equipment and workspaces in compliance with housekeeping and safety protocols.

Job Overview

The Structural Fabricator will be responsible for reading and interpreting engineering drawings fabricating structural steel components and assembling metal frameworks used in construction and industrial projects. This role demands sound knowledge of fabrication techniques welding processes cutting tools and safety standards. Skills Required
