Position Overview

As a Structural Engineer – Site Supervision with Parsons Corporation in Dubai, UAE, you will support the Resident Engineer in overseeing structural works, ensuring construction quality, safety compliance, and accurate project delivery across major infrastructure developments.

Key Responsibilities

• Report to the Resident Engineer and assist in supervising construction of bridges, viaducts, underpasses, and associated structural works
• Coordinate daily activities with other engineers, inspectors, surveyors, and members of the construction supervision team
• Assist in reviewing shop drawings, design submissions, method statements, and related correspondence for structural works
• Coordinate with Parsons design engineers to resolve technical and construction‑related issues
• Maintain daily site diaries and review daily inspection reports prepared by inspectors
• Coordinate with contractor engineers on scheduling, sequencing, and resource allocation
• Direct, assist, and monitor the performance of inspectors and surveyors within the assigned scope
• Convene and chair meetings with service authorities, contractors, subcontractors, and other relevant stakeholders
• Ensure accuracy, completeness, and proper maintenance of project records
• Oversee implementation of site safety procedures and ensure project safety objectives are achieved
• Assist in preparation of weekly and monthly progress reports
• Participate actively in all health and safety matters at site in coordination with project safety representatives
• Provide on‑site direction and assist the Resident Engineer in issuing site instructions related to structural and utilities works
• Measure and verify executed works, record progress, and assist in monitoring progress against approved schedules
• Ensure correctness and completeness of as‑built drawings for structural works
• Maintain handover records and assist in final handover of structural works to relevant authorities

Ideal Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering from an accredited university
• Minimum 10 years of experience in construction supervision of bridges and underpass projects
• Strong ability to review and justify material submissions, analyze laboratory and technical reports, and ensure compliance with project specifications
• Experience with quality control, acceptance sampling plans, and testing procedures
• Fully computer literate with ability to use engineering, reporting, and project management software
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English with strong technical reporting capability
• Experience in supervision of major bridge and infrastructure projects in the UAE or GCC is preferred
• Prior engineering consultancy experience in the region is an advantage
