Key Responsibilities

• Lead technical delivery of bridge and structural designs across multiple projects in parallel
• Perform and oversee technical reviews and quality checks of design deliverables prior to submission
• Deliver high‑quality, technically sound, and compliant bridge and transportation structure designs
• Identify opportunities for innovative design solutions and value engineering
• Plan, allocate, and coordinate resources to execute design commissions efficiently
• Liaise with project managers and discipline leads to manage schedules, information flow, and interdisciplinary coordination
• Set and agree project priorities in collaboration with project and technical managers
• Meet with clients and approving authorities to present, discuss, and secure design approvals when required
• Provide clear technical direction to design teams and ensure priorities and expectations are well understood
• Report to the Technical Director on project delivery status, staffing, and team utilization
• Support the Technical Director in recruitment, mentoring, and people management activities
• Act as Deputy Technical Director when required

Ideal Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering
• Minimum 20 years of post‑graduate experience in bridge and structural design delivery
• Mandatory experience delivering RTA bridge and infrastructure projects, with at least 7 years on RTA projects
• Proven experience providing technical leadership and mentoring to junior and mid‑level engineers
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
• Demonstrated commitment to technical excellence, innovation, and high‑quality delivery
