Position Overview: This Structural Engineer role supports a major Roads and Bridges project in Dubai. The position involves supervising structural works, coordinating with design teams, ensuring QA/QC compliance, and assisting the Resident Engineer and Project Manager with technical and progress-related responsibilities across large-scale roadway and bridge projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain QA/QC procedures for structural inspections and testing
• Conduct and follow up on structural installation inspections and assess inspector performance
• Prepare progress updates for inclusion in project reports
• Review updated records and ensure accurate preparation of as-built documentation
• Coordinate with all assigned structural and civil services to ensure alignment with project specifications
• Liaise with the Head Office design team for material reviews and technical clarifications
• Support the Resident Engineer in the supervision of structural works across bridges, culverts, retaining walls, and road structures
• Ensure all structural activities comply with RTA standards, project requirements, and local authority regulations
• Monitor contractor performance and ensure adherence to QA/QC procedures
• Assist with the resolution of site issues and coordination challenges during construction

Ideal Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering
• P. Eng preferred but not mandatory
• Equivalency certificate required for Pakistani nationals
• Minimum 10 years of experience on similar structural or roadway projects
• At least 3 years of experience in Dubai is mandatory
• Strong understanding of structural design, codes, and construction methodologies
• Experience working on major highways, roads, and bridge rehabilitation projects
• Familiarity with RTA standards and specifications
• Strong coordination, reporting, and communication skills
• Ability to work full-time on site in a dynamic project environment
