Job summary

Ali & Sons Marine Engineering Factory (ASMEF) seeks an experienced Structural Designer to develop 3D structural models and GA/fabrication drawings for UAE projects in Abu Dhabi.

You will prepare detailed connection layouts, platform structures, MTOs/BOQs and support cross-disciplinary design reviews to ensure fabrication-ready deliverables that comply with project specs and standards.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural/Mechanical engineering.
• Experience in structural design and detailing for Oil & Gas, EPC, fabrication, offshore or heavy engineering.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and 3D design software such as Tekla Structures, AVEVA.
• Knowledge of material take-offs and drawing revisions.

Responsibilities

• Develop 3D structural models and drawings per project specs.
• Prepare GA, fabrication, erection, and support drawings.
• Create connection details, platforms, ladders, and handrails.
• Prepare MTOs and BOQs.
• Review drawings and client requirements.
• Coordinate with Structural Engineers and other disciplines.
• Ensure deliverables are fabrication-ready and meet standards.
• Maintain drawing registers and document control.
• Identify clashes between models and drawings.
• Support fabrication and site teams with clarifications.
• Meet project deadlines.
