Ali & Sons Marine Engineering Factory in Abu Dhabi, UAE, is seeking an experienced Structural Designer specializing in structural steel detailing, 2D drafting, and 3D modelling. You will develop precise drawings and design deliverables for engineering and fabrication projects, coordinating with engineers, project teams, clients, and subcontractors to ensure compliance with project standards.

Formación

• Diploma or degree in Civil, Structural, or Mechanical Engineering.
• Strong knowledge of structural steel detailing, drafting, and 2D/3D modelling.
• Ability to read and interpret structural drawings, engineering specifications, and fabrication details.
• Familiarity with fabrication and construction drawing requirements.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare structural drawings, layouts, fabrication drawings, and other design deliverables in accordance with project requirements.
• Develop and modify 2D drawings and 3D structural models using relevant engineering design software.
• Interpret engineering drawings, design calculations, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Prepare and update structural steel detailing drawings, including beams, columns, bracing, connections, and support structures.
• Review drawings and models to ensure dimensional accuracy, consistency, and compliance with project specifications.
• Incorporate design changes and revisions into drawings and maintain proper document control.
• Coordinate with structural engineers, project managers, clients, consultants, and subcontractors to resolve design-related queries.
• Support the preparation of material take-offs and bills of materials, where required.
• Ensure drawings are prepared in accordance with applicable project standards, codes, and drafting practices.
• Assist with technical queries and resolve drawing discrepancies in coordination with the engineering team.
• Maintain accurate records of drawings, revisions, and design documentation.
• Support fabrication and construction teams by providing clarification on structural drawings and detailing requirements.
