Position: Offshore Structural Designer
Location: Sharjah, Office - UAE
Duration: 6 Months - Extendable
Salary: TBD
Rotation: Applicable if the contract extends to 1 year
Mission
Carry out design and drafting activities for the project as outlined below, assist in carrying out MTO estimates, procurement support activities, fabrication and construction requirements in compliance with project specifications budgeted manhours and schedules.
Job Description
- Develop 3D models of Jackets, Topsides, Flare Towers, and Bridges in SP3D in compliance with ADNOC standards and not limited to modeling of primary, secondary, and tertiary structural members with correct material properties and connections.
- Prepare and check standard drawings, modelling procedures adhering to specifications and checklists.
- Conduct clash/interface checks with piping, mechanical, E&I, and architectural disciplines; resolve conflicts before issuing deliverables.
- Generate and check deliverables from 3D models like GA drawings, Structural Steel details and develop them using CAD software in compliance with ADNOC standards.
- Generate and check MTO & other reports as required.
- Apply ADNOC drafting standards, drawing numbering system, and maintaining document control compliance. Ensure models and associated outputs conform to ADNOC engineering procedures, project specifications, and ISO quality standards. Issue document for Inter Disciplinary Checks (IDC) and maintain records, check prints and master technical drawings in accordance with Company and quality procedures.
- Support 30%, 60%, 90% model reviews with interdisciplinary teams and COMPANY. Incorporate review/COMPANY comments in 3D Model & drawings.
- Coordinate with Lead Designer / Design Supervisor for progress tracking and quality reviews.
- Interface and provide clarification, guidance and technical support to construction sites during fabrication and installation of equipment and appurtenances.
- Coordinate with fabrication Contractor / engineering teams towards preparation and review of As-built documentation and project close out documentation.
Qualifications
- Three-year Diploma or equivalent in Civil or Mechanical engineering.
- 10 years and above experience in offshore Structures detail design (Jacket/Topside/Bridge/Flare) & Drafting.
- ADNOC offshore project experience is an advantage
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, SP3D and Tekla is compulsory
- Familiar with integration of multi-discipline models and offshore constructability EPC Experience in Offshore Jobs
