Job summary

Mira Construction in Dubai seeks a committed Strength & Conditioning Coach to lead the team’s physical preparation, performance recovery, and injury prevention. The role focuses on three evening training sessions weekly and collaboration with the Head Coach to optimize workloads.

The ideal candidate has a degree in Sports Science or Exercise Science and a recognized S&C certification, plus experience with team-sport athletes. UAE residence visa required; cricket experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience with team-sport athletes, preferably cricket, is advantageous.
• Must hold UAE residence visa and be available for three evening sessions weekly.
• Degree in a relevant field and recognised S&C certification are essential.
• Demonstrated ability to design individualized training plans and monitor workloads.

Responsibilities

• Lead warm-ups, conditioning sessions and injury-prevention programmes during three evening training sessions per week in Dubai.
• Conduct initial fitness assessments and regular performance testing throughout the season.
• Develop individualized gym and strength programmes tailored to players’ needs and goals.
• Collaborate with Head Coach to monitor and manage workloads for fast bowlers.
• Support players in improving strength, speed, endurance, mobility and overall performance.
• Track progress and adjust training plans based on assessments and demands.
• Contribute ideas to establish the club's fitness and conditioning programme.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead warm-ups conditioning sessions and injury-prevention programmes during three evening training sessions per week in Dubai
• Conduct initial fitness assessments and regular performance testing throughout the season
• Develop individualized gym and strength programmes tailored to players needs and performance goals
• Work closely with the Head Coach to monitor and manage fast bowlers workloads
• Support players in improving strength speed endurance mobility and overall physical performance
• Recommend practical strategies to improve team fitness recovery and injury prevention
• Track player progress and adjust training plans based on assessment results and performance demands
• Contribute ideas and practical solutions to help establish the club s fitness and conditioning programme

Previous experience

• Previous experience as a Strength & Conditioning Coach working with team-sport athletes.
• Experience working with cricket players is an advantage.
• A degree in Sports Science, Exercise Science, or a related discipline, and/or a recognised Strength & Conditioning qualification such as UKSCA, NSCA-CSCS, or an equivalent certification.
• Understanding of strength training, conditioning, performance testing, recovery, and injury-prevention principles.
• Ability to design individualized training programmes and adapt them to different athlete requirements.
• Knowledge of workload management, particularly for fast bowlers, is an advantage.
• A proactive, practical, and problem-solving approach, with the ability to contribute independent ideas.
• Strong commitment to player development, team performance, and consistent training.
• Must hold a valid UAE residence visa.
• Must be available for three evening training sessions per week in Dubai.
