Larsen & Toubro in United Arab Emirates (Sharjah) is seeking a Procurement Manager - BESS to oversee end-to-end procurement for Solar/BESS EPC projects, optimizing cost, quality and delivery. You will develop procurement strategies, manage vendors, and ensure timely sourcing of materials and services to meet project timelines.

You will lead a procurement team, monitor market trends, oversee logistics and inventory control, and implement risk mitigation.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in supply chain management with emphasis on solar/BESS or EPC industries.
• Certification in Supply Chain Management (e.g. CSCP, CPSM).

Responsabilidades

• Lead and manage procurement processes for solar equipment, materials, and services required for projects.
• Negotiate and establish relationships with suppliers, ensuring competitive pricing and quality standards.
• Monitor the global solar market to identify new suppliers, emerging trends, and cost-saving opportunities.
• Oversee the logistics, transportation, and warehousing of solar materials and equipment.
• Ensure timely delivery of all required components to project sites, while managing transportation costs and risks.
• Coordinate with project managers to align supply chain operations with project timelines.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors, ensuring consistent quality and on-time delivery.
• Conduct regular vendor performance reviews and resolve any issues related to delays, quality, or costs.
• Manage inventory levels to ensure sufficient stock is available for ongoing and upcoming projects.
• Implement inventory optimization techniques to minimize excess stock and associated costs.
• Continuously evaluate and recommend strategies to reduce supply chain costs without compromising quality or delivery timelines.
• Monitor and manage the budget for procurement and supply chain activities.
• Identify and mitigate risks related to supply chain disruptions, such as material shortages, transportation delays, or price volatility.
• Develop contingency plans to ensure the uninterrupted supply of critical project materials.
• Lead and mentor a team of supply chain professionals, providing guidance and training to ensure high performance.
• Set clear performance goals and metrics for team members, conducting regular evaluations.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards related to procurement, logistics, and safety.
• Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, contracts, and supplier communications.
