Job summary

UN Women in the UAE GCC Liaison Office seeks a consultant to lead strategic communications and branding for the GCC, manage partnerships, and drive WEPs engagement. The role involves coordinating high‑level events and campaigns with key government and private sector stakeholders.

The consultant will report to the Head of Office, GCC, and work with an operations associate on contract and payments. Fluency in English is required; knowledge of Arabic is an asset.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of progressively responsible experience in resource mobilization, communications/advocacy, and/or business development.
• Experience in gender equality and women's empowerment.
• Experience working with civil society organizations, international institutions and donors.
• Experience working in the UN system is an asset.
• Experience in the use of social media and digital communications is a strong asset.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage strategic communications and branding for the GCC.
• Build and maintain partnerships with government, private sector, and civil society.
• Support Women's Empowerment Principles (WEPs) rollout and stakeholder engagement.
• Coordinate events, campaigns, and media coverage for UN Women GCC LO.
