Job summary

UN Women invites a communications consultant to join the GCC Liaison Office in the UAE. The role leads strategic communications, builds partnerships, and raises visibility with government, private sector, and civil society to advance UN Women priorities in the GCC.

Reporting to the Head of Office, GCC, the consultant will manage events, campaigns, WEPs activities, and collaborative outreach, supporting senior leadership and ensuring alignment with UN Women policies.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or equivalent in economics, business management, social sciences, public administration, international relations, communications, women's studies, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of progressively responsible experience in resource mobilization, communications/advocacy, and/or business development.
• Experience in gender equality and women's empowerment.
• Experience working with civil society organizations, international institutions and donors.
• Fluency in English is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the strategic communications and branding for the GCC.
• Oversee communication activities to increase UN Women visibility in the GCC region.
• Develop partnerships and engagement with government entities, private-sector companies, foundations, and civil society.
• Coordinate events, campaigns, and high-level meetings.
• Support senior management in stakeholder engagement.
