Job summary

Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development is seeking a Marketing and Events Manager to lead local and international event plans aligned with departmental marketing needs. You will develop implementation mechanisms for conferences, forums, and meetings, and measure outcomes against strategic objectives.

The role requires coordinating sponsorships, annual and operational plans, and promoting the department's identity across channels, with emphasis on high-profile international events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in communications and promotion.
• At least six years of relevant work experience.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to preparing and reviewing the section's policies, methodologies, and procedures.
• Prepare the sponsorship plan, classify sponsorships by target category, and establish the related budget.
• Support the preparation of the section's annual plan and align it with the Department's plan.
• Provide recommendations and contribute to preparing the operational plan and estimated activity budget.
• Participate in setting the section's key objectives and align with the Department's objectives.
• Propose innovative approaches to strengthen the Department's media and economic role by attracting international events.
• Contribute to risk management and submit recommendations and timely solutions to the supervisor.
• Identify opportunities to raise the Department's profile through media awards.
• Guide the implementation of media affairs programs in line with operational plans.
• Review services and media channels; support awareness and promotion; submit recommendations.
• Oversee implementation of internal and external communications plan.
• Support promotion of the Department's identity and reputation through best practices in protocol.
• Contribute to building partnerships with media organizations and agreements.
• Monitor compliance with standards through inspections and reports.
• Perform other administrative duties as required.
