Job summary

Unknown in the United Arab Emirates leads the group’s Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) programme, developing risk strategy, policies, processes and reporting, and works with the Executive Leadership Team on weighing risk against reward. It gives the board and Audit Committee full visibility of the group’s risk position.

The role heads a division of three direct reports with strong working relationships across Operating Companies.

Qualifications

• 18 years of experience, including at least 12 years international experience.
• Experience implementing ERM within the GCC.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering or Science.
• Master's degree in Risk Management, or an MBA.
• Certified, or working towards certification, in Enterprise Risk Management or Financial Risk Management.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of ERM strategy processes and infrastructure.
• Help the CEO and leadership set risk policies, risk appetite and risk limits.
• Facilitate enterprise-wide risk assessments and monitor priority risks.
• Report to the Audit Committee and align risk work with Internal Audit.
• Build operating company risk capability and assure programmes are effective.
• Manage the division's plans, budget, performance and staff development.
• Develop an IT strategy to support ERM.
