Job summary

Shamal Holding, headquartered in Dubai, seeks an Assistant Manager – Enterprise Risk Management to strengthen our risk governance across the group. You will coordinate the ERM framework, translate risk data into actionable insights, and support risk owners with effective mitigation plans.

A bachelor’s degree and 7–9 years of progressive ERM experience are expected, with certifications such as IRM or ISO 31000 considered advantageous.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Finance, Business, Economics, Engineering or a related discipline.
• Relevant certification such as IRM, ISO 31000, CRMA, CIA, FRM, PRM, CERA or GRCP is advantageous.
• 7-9 years of progressive experience in enterprise risk, governance, audit, assurance or a related discipline.
• Experience coordinating risk assessments, maintaining enterprise risk information and producing management-level risk reporting.
• Practical knowledge of recognised ERM frameworks, risk appetite, KRIs, controls, mitigation planning and GRC systems.
• Demonstrated ability to analyse complex information, facilitate senior stakeholder discussions and influence outcomes without direct authority.

Responsibilities

• Maintain an accurate and current enterprise risk profile with material risks and interdependencies clearly identified.
• Provide timely visibility of exposures, breaches and emerging trends via risk appetite measures and KRIs.
• Deliver concise, evidence-based risk reporting to governance timelines.
• Support risk owners with practical mitigation plans and escalation of overdue actions.
• Assist business units in applying the ERM framework with guidance and risk workshops.
• Translate emerging geopolitical and regulatory risks into relevant scenarios and recommended responses.
• Improve risk data, dashboards and GRC tools to strengthen data quality and traceability.
• Raise risk awareness through communications, learning, and a network of risk champions.
