Job summary

KATIM is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead defence engineering initiatives in Abu Dhabi. The role covers coordinating systems, software, hardware, and verification across complex programmes, ensuring delivery within schedule and cost constraints.

You will guide multidisciplinary teams and liaise with customers and suppliers at senior levels. Applicants should have a strong track record in regulated defence environments, engineering lifecycles, and programme delivery, with proven leadership

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or a related field.
10+ years of experience in Defence, Aerospace, Communications, or mission-critical technology.
Proven experience leading engineering development activities and multidisciplinary teams.
Strong understanding of engineering lifecycles, systems integration, verification, and programme delivery.
Experience working in regulated or defence environments.

Responsibilities

Lead multidisciplinary engineering workstreams across complex defence programmes.
Drive delivery against technical, schedule, cost, quality, and integration objectives.
Plan resources, milestones, dependencies, risks, and engineering priorities.
Coordinate Systems, Software, Hardware, Integration, Test, Cybersecurity, and Network teams.
Act as the technical focal point for stakeholders, customers, suppliers, and programme leadership.
Support technical decisions, risk mitigation, change control, and engineering governance.
