Job summary

KATIM is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead multidisciplinary defence engineering programs in Abu Dhabi. You will drive delivery against technical, schedule, cost, quality, and integration objectives, coordinating Systems, Software, Hardware, and Test teams while acting as the technical focal point for stakeholders and customers.

The role demands a Bachelor’s degree in a related engineering field with 10+ years in defence or mission‑critical tech, and proven leadership of engineering

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in Defence, Aerospace, Communications, or mission‑critical technology.
• Proven experience leading engineering development activities and multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong understanding of engineering lifecycles, systems integration, verification, and programme delivery.
• Experience working in regulated or defence environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary engineering workstreams across complex defence programmes.
• Drive delivery against technical, schedule, cost, quality, and integration objectives.
• Plan resources, milestones, dependencies, risks, and engineering priorities.
• Coordinate Systems, Software, Hardware, Integration, Test, Cybersecurity, and Network teams.
• Act as the technical focal point for stakeholders, customers, suppliers, and programme leadership.
• Support technical decisions, risk mitigation, change control, and engineering governance.
