Job summary

Coders Connect is partnering with a fast-scaling company to hire a Lead Data Engineer based in Dubai. You will own architecture, pipelines across batch and streaming, and shape data platforms across regions with hybrid or onsite options.

You will design scalable data systems, build end-to-end pipelines using GCP, Airflow, BigQuery, dbt and Dataflow, govern data quality and security, mentor engineers, and collaborate with analytics, engineering and product teams to deliver impactful data

Qualifications

Minimum 7 years in data engineering, with at least 2 in architecture or leadership.
Strong SQL and Python proficiency.
Deep experience with cloud architectures (GCP required).
Hands-on with Airflow, BigQuery, dbt, Dataflow.
Knowledge of distributed systems and modern data architecture.
Experience in regulated environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

Architect scalable data systems: design data models, flow strategies, and storage solutions for analytics and ops at scale.
Build end-to-end pipelines: develop automated pipelines using GCP, Airflow, BigQuery, dbt, and Dataflow.
Data Governance & Quality: establish rules for secure handling, auditing, retention, and lineage.
Lead & Collaborate: set technical direction, mentor engineers, and work with analytics, engineering, and product teams to deliver data products.
