Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master degree in computer science or similar. Relevant experience can compensate for formal education
• Minimum 8+ years of experience in a customer-facing Data intense role
• Experience delivering production-grade data pipelines using Python, SQL and Rest APIs
• Experience with distributed computing such as Kubernetes and managed cloud services such as GCP and/or Azure
• Domain knowledge of data sources within oil and gas & manufacturing industries is a plus
• DevOps mindset with Git, CI/CD and deployment environments
• Enjoys working in cross-functional teams
• Able to independently investigate and solve problems
• Humility to ask for help and share knowledge with others
• Global presence across multiple regions including Abu Dhabi

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of scalable data engineering solutions using Cognite Data Fusion
• Drive and manage integrations, data modeling, and analysis using Python/SQL/REST APIs
• Create custom data models for data discovery, mapping, and cleansing
• Collaborate with data scientists, project managers and solution architects on project deliveries
• Conduct code reviews and implement best practices for high-quality code
• Support customers and partners in data engineering tasks with Cognite products
• Contribute to development of Cognite’s official tools and SDKs
• Collaborate with Engineering and Product Management to turn customer needs into a pipeline of product offerings
