Job summary

Coders Connect is partnering with a fast-scaling company to hire a Lead Data Engineer based in Dubai. You will own architecture, pipelines across batch and streaming, and shape data platforms across regions with hybrid or onsite options.

You will design scalable data systems, build end-to-end pipelines using GCP, Airflow, BigQuery, dbt and Dataflow, govern data quality and security, mentor engineers, and collaborate with analytics, engineering and product teams to deliver impactful data

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years in data engineering, with at least 2 in architecture or leadership.
• Strong SQL and Python proficiency.
• Deep experience with cloud architectures (GCP required).
• Hands-on with Airflow, BigQuery, dbt, Dataflow.
• Knowledge of distributed systems and modern data architecture.
• Experience in regulated environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

About the Role

Coders Connect is working with a fast-scaling company building a modern data foundation across regions and we re on the hunt for a Lead Data Engineer to own architecture pipeline design and scalable systems across batch and streaming. This role is based in Dubai with hybrid or onsite options. If you live and breathe data platforms love optimizing workflows and want to shape data culture from the ground up this one s for you.

What You ll Be Doing

• Architect Scalable Data Systems: Design data models flow strategies and storage solutions to support analytics and ops at scale including real-time batch needs.
• Build End-to-End Pipelines: Develop robust automated pipelines using GCP Airflow BigQuery dbt and Dataflow ensuring data quality and speed across the board.
• Data Governance & Quality: Establish rules for secure handling auditing retention and lineage. Promote transparency trust and compliance.
• Lead & Collaborate: Set technical direction mentor engineers and collaborate with analytics engineering and product teams to deliver impactful data products.

What We re Looking For

• 7 years in data engineering (2 in architectural or leadership roles)
• Solid SQL & Python skills tested modular clean
• Deep experience with cloud-based architectures (GCP required)
• Hands-on with Airflow BigQuery dbt Dataflow
• Strong knowledge of distributed systems and modern data architecture (streaming events etc.)
• Experience in regulated environments a plus
