Job summary

Caliberly in Dubai seeks an experienced Assistant General Manager – Accounts Payable to lead the AP function, ensuring timely invoice processing, vendor management, and robust payment controls.

You will drive process improvements, oversee month-end close, and manage a high-performing AP team while aligning with IFRS, UAE VAT, and internal policies. Real estate, construction, or shared services exposure is highly preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance or related field.
• Professional qualification such as CA/ACCA/CPA/CMA is highly preferred.
• 12–18 years of progressive finance experience including 5+ years in a leadership role managing AP.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end AP function with timely invoice processing and payments.
• Develop and implement AP strategies and policies for efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with internal workflows and financial controls.
• Drive process excellence and vendor satisfaction.
• Oversee vendor onboarding, master data governance and reconciliations.
• Manage payment cycles and cash flow planning with Treasury.
• Lead month-end/year-end AP close and reporting.
• Identify opportunities to automate and standardize AP processes.
• Strengthen internal controls and monitor procurement policies.
• Mentor and develop AP managers and staff.
