Job summary

United Arab Emirates University in Al Ain seeks a senior administrator to join the Senior Management Team of the College of Medicine and Health Sciences (CMHS). The role directs finance, HR, procurement and central services to align with teaching, research and clinical care objectives.

The post requires 15+ years of academic administration experience, with strong leadership and strategic planning skills, preferably in health sciences, and a track record of policy development and digital

Qualifications

Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, HR or relevant field.
PhD in Education Leadership, Health Administration, Education Management or related field.
15+ years of progressive experience in academic administration, preferably in health Sciences.

Responsibilities

Direct the preparation and submission of the CMHS Annual Operating Budget.
Monitor CMHS spending and advise on budget management to avoid end-of-year deficits or surpluses.
Ensure accounting and budgetary systems operate within delegated powers.
Oversee recruitment, retention and induction of faculty and staff.
Ensure timely renewal of Faculty and Staff contracts.
Oversee onboarding and offboarding of new employees.
Direct the annual faculty and staff recruitment plan.
Ensure replacement recruitment is timely.
Ensure HR systems and staff records are maintained.
Implement systems for ordering and receiving goods and supplies.
Monitor MSRs and purchase orders to prevent delays.
Ensure tenders and contracts comply with bylaws and regulations.
Oversee efficient college administration and new employee onboarding in Al Ain.
Maintain housing stock for faculty and staff.
Direct the CMHS Strategic Business Plan and reporting.
Supervise outreach activities and Dean's Office administration.
Ensure health, safety and security systems are in place.
Coordinate accreditation processes, curriculum and site visits.
Coordinate development of strategic plans and risk management reports.
Update policies, governance documents and promotional materials.
Prepare Dean's speeches and communications.
Other duties as assigned.
