Job summary

ALEC Technologies in the United Arab Emirates is seeking a Stores Controller to oversee all store and inventory operations across projects. You will ensure accurate stock control, records, and ERP data updates while supervising receiving, inspection, storage, and issuance of materials.

Ideal candidates have 5–8 years in stores/inventory with supervisory exposure in construction or related sectors, strong leadership, attention to detail, and proficiency with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years in stores/inventory management with a supervisory role.
• Experience in construction/ELV/ICT/MEP environments preferred.
• Strong knowledge of inventory control systems and warehouse management practices.
• ERP experience (SAP/Oracle) is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all store and inventory operations across assigned projects.
• Ensure accurate stock control, records, and system updates (ERP/manual).
• Supervise receiving, inspection, storage, and issuance of materials.
• Maintain accountability of stock movements and traceability.
• Conduct regular stock audits, cycle counts, and reconciliations.
• Coordinate with procurement, logistics, and project/site teams.
• Ensure optimal stock levels and timely reporting of shortages or discrepancies.
• Implement and maintain proper storage systems and warehouse discipline.
• Monitor and guide storekeepers in daily operations and compliance.

Your Role

• Monitor and guide storekeepers in daily operations and compliance
• Support internal and external audits with accurate inventory data
• Ensure adherence to company procedures, safety, and quality standards

What We’re Looking For

• Minimum 5–8 years’ experience in stores / inventory management, with at least 2–3 years in a supervisory or controller-level role
• Proven experience in construction, ELV, ICT, MEP, or large-scale project environments preferred
• Strong knowledge of inventory control systems and warehouse management practices
• Experience using ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar) is an advantage
• Strong leadership and coordination skills
• High level of accuracy, accountability, and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple project demands under pressure
• Strong communication and reporting skills
