Job summary

Fairmont Fujairah Beach Resort is seeking a Stewarding Supervisor to oversee the stewards, support training and development, and coordinate daily back-of-house wash responsibilities to maintain the highest cleanliness standards. The role requires strict adherence to health, hygiene, and safety guidelines and proper handling of hazardous substances.

Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities, teamwork, and guest-focused service are essential.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in a Stewarding department preferred.
• Microsoft Windows proficiency is required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the Stewards to uphold high standards.
• Support team in training and development.
• Coordinate daily pot-wash and dish-wash tasks.
• Maintain Back of House areas to top cleanliness and follow schedules.
• Observe health, hygiene and safety guidelines when handling chemicals.
• Report faults or damaged equipment to Managers, Exec Chef, or Chief Engineer.
• Ensure correct PPE usage and adherence to guidelines.
• Operate machinery safely and in line with Health and Safety Manual.
• Assist in movement and storage of equipment.
• Assist stock takes of equipment and other items.
• Ensure adherence to health, safety and hygiene regulations.
• Perform other reasonable tasks as directed by management.
