Job summary

One&Only The Palm, a luxury resort on Palm Island, seeks an Assistant Manager, Stewarding to lead the stewarding team, maintain hygiene standards, and coordinate with kitchen and management.

Responsibilities include supervising dishwashers and cleaning staff, managing inventory and budget for stewarding, and ensuring safety compliance across outlets. The role requires strong leadership, flexibility, and collaboration with multiple departments.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of HACCP principles and SGS food safety standards.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Familiarity with inventory control and budget management.
• Effective communication and team management skills.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Ensure outlets are maintained and operated in compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
• Supervise stewarding team including dishwashers and cleaning staff.
• Provide equipment quality upgrade suggestions and assist with budget planning for stewarding.
• Maintain cleaning schedules and oversee inventory of supplies.
• Coordinate with purchasing to ensure timely restocking of stewarding supplies.
• Oversee maintenance and cleaning of kitchen equipment, utensils, and dishes.
• Train staff on hygiene practices and proper use of cleaning equipment.
• Collaborate with management to develop and manage the stewarding department budget.
