Job summary

Black Pearl Consult invites applications for an Emergency Department Nurse in Dubai. You will provide timely, patient-centered nursing care for acute emergencies, perform triage and monitoring, and support physicians and the multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Requirements include a BSN, 2+ years ED/ER experience, valid nursing license with DHA eligibility or Dubai license, and strong clinical judgement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing required.
  • Minimum 2 years emergency department/ER nursing experience.
  • Good clinical assessment, critical thinking, communication and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
  • Valid nursing license with DHA eligibility or license in Dubai preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide immediate and comprehensive emergency nursing care for medical, surgical, traumatic and other emergency conditions.
  • Triage and monitor patients and escalate deterioration promptly.
  • Administer medications, IV fluids, and other treatments per protocol.
  • Assist physicians and multidisciplinary team during procedures and resuscitation.
  • Operate and monitor emergency equipment and life-support devices.
  • Perform CPR/ALS and contribute to emergency response activities.
  • Maintain documentation of assessments, interventions and outcomes.
  • Ensure infection control and patient safety standards are followed.
  • Educate patients and families about treatment plans and follow-up.

Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Emergency Department Nurse to join a leading healthcare organization in Dubai. The Emergency Department Nurse will provide safe timely and patient-centered nursing care to individuals presenting with acute illnesses injuries and medical emergencies. The ideal candidate should have strong emergency nursing experience excellent clinical judgment and the ability to remain calm and effective in a fast-paced high-acuity environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide immediate and comprehensive nursing care to patients presenting with medical surgical traumatic and other emergency conditions.
  • Rapidly assess and triage patients based on the severity and urgency of their condition.
  • Monitor patients vital signs neurological status pain levels and overall clinical condition promptly identifying and escalating any deterioration.
  • Administer medications IV fluids blood products and other treatments as prescribed and in accordance with established protocols.
  • Assist physicians and the multidisciplinary team during emergency procedures resuscitation trauma management and other critical interventions.
  • Prepare and operate emergency equipment including cardiac monitors defibrillators ventilators infusion pumps and other life-support equipment.
  • Participate in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) advanced life support and other emergency response activities as required.
  • Perform wound care dressing changes specimen collection catheterization and other emergency nursing procedures within the scope of practice.
  • Establish and maintain IV access and monitor patients receiving intravenous medications and therapies.
  • Provide appropriate pain management and comfort measures while maintaining patient safety.
  • Collaborate with physicians paramedics laboratory staff radiology teams and other healthcare professionals to ensure timely and coordinated patient care.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments interventions medications procedures and clinical outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with infection prevention and control protocols patient safety standards and hospital policies.
  • Provide patients and their families with appropriate information reassurance and education regarding treatment procedures and follow-up care.
  • Participate in emergency preparedness activities quality improvement initiatives clinical audits case reviews and continuing professional development programs.

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • Trauma or emergency care certifications such as PALS TNCC or equivalent are an advantage.
  • Experience in a tertiary care or internationally accredited hospital is an advantage.
  • Willingness to work rotating shifts including nights weekends and public holidays as required.
  • Willing to work in Dubai UAE.
