Job summary

Scribe is building a modern platform and is looking for its first dedicated networking specialist to define the discipline and build the foundation for future scale.

You will own cloud networking across the engineering organization, architect the network foundation for platform and product teams, and set the technical direction for cloud networking and multi-cloud connectivity. Design IPv6-native VPCs for EKS and establish networking standards across the team.

Qualifications

• Deep AWS networking expertise in production at scale.
• Strong IPv4/IPv6, routing, DNS, TCP/IP, BGP, NAT fundamentals.
• Experience deploying IPv6 in cloud or large network environments.
• Experience with VPCs, transit/peering, IPAM, private connectivity.
• Kubernetes networking with EKS and CNI behavior.
• Proficiency with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform or equivalent) and GitOps workflows.
• Experience with private DNS in Route 53.

Requirements

• Deep, hands-on AWS networking expertise in production at scale
• Strong vendor-agnostic networking fundamentals (IPv4/IPv6, routing, DNS, TCP/IP, BGP, NAT)
• Demonstrated experience deploying and troubleshooting IPv6 in cloud or large network environments
• Experience with core cloud networking primitives (VPCs, transit/peering, IPAM, private connectivity)
• Kubernetes networking experience, specifically with EKS and CNI behavior
• Proficiency with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform or equivalent) and GitOps workflows
• Experience with private DNS in Route 53

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with multi-cloud connectivity tooling
• Experience with multi-account/multi-project environments (AWS Organizations, Control Tower)
• Network security and compliance experience
• AWS Advanced Networking – Specialty certification
