Job summary

Jobgether is seeking a Staff Application Security Engineer to establish and scale a dedicated security function within a high-growth tech environment. You will drive threat modeling, secure coding practices, and integrate AI-powered tooling across APIs, SDKs, and cloud systems.

You will lead security reviews, mentor engineers, and own vulnerability remediation with strong collaboration across product and security leadership, enabling secure product development at scale.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in software engineering and/or security engineering, with ≥5 years in application security.
• Hands-on implementation over auditing/consulting in product engineering.
• Proficient in modern web apps, APIs and CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Design secure SDLC with threat modeling, secure code reviews and pre-release testing.
• Own and improve application security tooling (SAST/DAST, SCA, secrets detection, container/IaC scanning).
• Integrate security tools into CI/CD, reduce false positives, establish SLAs for remediation.
• Lead AI-first security engineering approaches with AI-assisted triage and automated remediation.
• Build reusable security patterns and secure defaults for auth, input validation and secrets management.
• Contribute to production code with security fixes and security libraries.
