Job summary

Sana Commerce in Dubai invites an experienced Site Reliability Engineer to lead the SRE team, defining objectives and guiding reliability while balancing cost and performance. You will collaborate with platform and product engineers to embed reliability into the software lifecycle and develop SRE policies with SLOs, SLIs, and error budgets.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Site Reliability Engineering with 2 years in a leadership role.
• Hands-on Azure cloud experience including designing, deploying and managing cloud-native infrastructure.
• Experience with container orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Strong understanding of network protocols, load balancing, and high availability configurations.
• Experience applying software development solutions to SRE and familiarity with languages such as PowerShell, C#, Python, Go, or Java.
• Experience with automation tools and infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible).
• Proficiency in monitoring/logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack); Dynatrace a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with ability to tackle complex issues under pressure.
• Outstanding leadership and mentoring abilities with strong cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead the SRE team and set objectives for reliability while balancing cost and performance SLAs.
• Collaborate with platform & product engineering to embed reliability and best practices into the SDLC.
• Develop and implement SRE policies including SLOs, SLIs and error budgets.
• Drive automation across operations to reduce toil and improve scalability.
• Oversee incident management, post-mortems and root-cause analyses.
• Facilitate capacity planning and scalability exercises to manage growth.
• Coordinate disaster recovery plans and testing for business continuity.
• Mentor team members and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
• Stay up to date with SRE trends and advocate adoption where appropriate.
