Job summary

Ultiwise Consult in the UAE seeks a Sr. Projects Manager to lead water and wastewater infrastructure programs from mobilization to handover, delivering on time, within budget and to high quality and safety standards.

You will lead multi‑disciplinary teams, review schedules and submittals, manage contracts and costs, and ensure UAE regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in civil engineering.
• 15+ years of UAE/GCC experience in water infrastructure projects.
• Experience with pumping stations and treatment plants.
• Familiarity with local authorities and regulations.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, MS Office and MS Project/Primavera.

Responsibilities

• Direct and control all ongoing projects from mobilization to final handover ensuring completion within approved time, budget and quality standards.
• Establish overall project execution strategy, construction methodologies and resource planning for water-retaining structures, reservoirs, STPs, pump stations, RO Plants and all civil works.
• Lead and supervise Project Managers, Engineers, Planning, QA/QC, Safety & Procurement teams across all sites.
• Review and approve construction programs, method statements, risk assessments and technical submittals prior to submission to consultants.
• Monitor project schedules, progress reports, recovery plans and critical path activities to avoid delays.
• Review and interpret contract and tender documents, BOQs, specifications, drawings and FIDIC-based conditions to protect company interests.
• Control overall project budgets, cash flow forecasts, cost reports and profitability margins.
• Identify technical, financial and contractual risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Oversee procurement planning, subcontractor appointment and major material approvals in coordination with the commercial department.
• Ensure all projects comply with UAE authority regulations, project specifications and international standards.
• Monitor quality assurance and quality control systems to ensure compliance with approved ITPs and specifications.
• Ensure strict implementation of HSE policies across all project sites and promote a zero-incident culture.
• Conduct regular project review meetings to assess performance, manpower productivity, cost status and corrective actions.
• Coordinate closely with structural, mechanical, electrical and ICA teams to ensure proper interface management in infrastructure projects.
• Provide technical leadership and decision-making support for complex engineering challenges.
• Participate in tender review, risk analysis, pricing strategy and technical proposal preparation.
• Strengthen client relationships and represent the company in high-level meetings with consultants and government authorities.
• Develop internal systems for project reporting, cost control documentation and performance monitoring.
• Develop manpower planning, recruitment requirements and performance evaluations for project staff based on project needs.
• Ensure smooth project close-out including testing, commissioning, coordination, documentation and final account settlement.
• Support company management in strategic planning, expansion initiatives and business development activities.
• Oversee the material requirements at each site and procurement activities.

Requirements

• Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering
• Minimum 15 years of working experience in the UAE/GCC in water/waste water infrastructure projects including construction of pumping stations & treatment plants.
• Proven experience in water retaining structures, underground structures, shoring and dewatering.
• Familiarity with local authority standards and regulations.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office and MS Project/Primavera.
• Ability to work with multiple discipline projects.
• Valid UAE driving license.
• Good written and verbal communication in English (Arabic preferred).
• Strong technical and project management skills.
