Job summary

Uasmart in Abu Dhabi is seeking an experienced Yard Engineer to support offshore fabrication activities at a dedicated yard. The role requires 8–10 years of hands-on experience in constructing offshore platforms, jackets and modules, with strong expertise in fabrication, installation, testing, mechanical completion and pre‑commissioning.

The incumbent will coordinate fabrication and construction activities, ensuring safe, efficient work aligned with engineering standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 8–10 years of offshore fabrication yard experience.
• Experience in constructing Offshore Platforms, Jackets and Modules.
• Strong experience in piping fabrication and installation.
• Hands‑on experience with hydrotesting and pneumatic testing.
• Experience with mechanical completion and pre‑commissioning.
• Experience conducting system walk‑downs and clearing punch lists.
• Knowledge of ASME, API, ASTM standards.
• EPC Offshore Oil & Gas project experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support fabrication yard activities for offshore platforms, jackets and modules.
• Coordinate piping fabrication and installation activities.
• Supervise hydrotesting and pneumatic testing activities.
• Coordinate mechanical completion and pre‑commissioning activities.
• Conduct system walk‑downs and punch list clearance coordination.
• Collaborate with construction, QA/QC, commissioning and project teams.
• Monitor fabrication/installation to meet project requirements.
• Apply engineering standards and specifications during fabrication.
• Identify technical issues and coordinate corrective actions.
• Support project planning, progress tracking and technical reporting.
• Maintain coordination between yard teams, contractors and stakeholders.
• Promote safe and efficient offshore fabrication execution.
