Job summary

NMDC in Abu Dhabi is seeking a senior Yard Engineer to supervise fabrication, assembly, and erection of offshore jackets, topsides, modules, and related structural steel. You will oversee fabrication progress, allocate manpower, and ensure safety and quality on site.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering and 8–15 years of experience in oil & gas fabrication yards, EPC projects, or offshore/onshore construction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• 8-15 years of experience in Oil & Gas fabrication yards, EPC projects, or offshore/onshore construction projects.
• Hands-on experience in fabrication and construction of Offshore Jackets, Topsides & Modules, Structural Steel, Piping Systems, Process Skids, Mechanical Equipment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise fabrication, assembly, and erection activities for offshore jackets, topsides, modules, skids, structural steel, piping systems, pipe racks, and mechanical equipment.
• Plan and monitor fabrication progress, manpower utilization, productivity, and equipment deployment.
• Coordinate with Engineering, QA/QC, Planning, Procurement, Logistics, and HSE teams to ensure smooth project execution.
• Review fabrication drawings, isometrics, P&IDs, and material take-offs.
• Monitor fit-up, welding, NDT, dimensional control, hydrotesting, pneumatic testing, and mechanical completion activities.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, HSE requirements, and client procedures.
• Coordinate inspections, punch-list clearance, system handovers, and turnover documentation.
