Job summary

Salt Digital Recruitment seeks a Mid-Level Microsoft SQL Server DBA in Dubai. With 4-6 years of production experience, you'll be responsible for managing the performance, availability, security, and reliability of database systems. Responsibilities include installing SQL Server, optimizing performance, troubleshooting issues, and supporting application teams.

The ideal candidate possesses extensive experience with SSRS and SSIS, as well as knowledge of SQL Server 2019/2022 and virtualization. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently are essential.

Qualifications

• 4-6 years of SQL Server DBA experience (production support).
• Experience with SSRS and SSIS.
• Knowledge of SQL Server 2019/2022 and virtualization.
• Strong understanding of High Availability and performance tuning.
• Familiarity with Excel, SSRS, or PowerBI.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Install and configure SQL Server (Standalone, Failover Cluster, Availability Groups).
• Apply upgrades, patches, and manage version control.
• Monitor and optimize database performance and capacity.
• Perform backups, restores, and recovery testing.
• Troubleshoot issues and support incident resolution.
• Collaborate with developers on stored procedures, triggers, and standards.
• Manage releases across dev, test, and production environments.
• Automate routine tasks and maintain documentation.
• Provide support to application teams and participate in on-call rotation.
