Job summary

Penspen urgently seeks a Specialist Planning Engineer (Offshore) for an ADNOC-related PMC project in Abu Dhabi. You will lead offshore construction planning, update schedules in Primavera P6, and monitor progress with cost controls.

Requirements include a Bachelor's in engineering, 17+ years in project planning and cost control in oil and gas, offshore exposure, and strong skills in Primavera P6, SAP and Excel. PMC experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Offshore Projects.
• PMC experience preferred.
• ADNOC project experience would be an added advantage.
• Strong knowledge of planning and cost control tools (Primavera P6, SAP, Excel).
• Understanding of project lifecycle, budgeting, and earned value management.
• Capable of working independently and meeting tight deadlines.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain offshore construction schedules using Primavera P6.
• Monitor progress against the baseline schedule.
• Analyze critical paths, delays, productivity, and schedule risks.
• Prepare progress reports, forecasts, and S-curves.
• Coordinate planning inputs from construction, engineering, procurement, and commissioning.
• Develop recovery plans and recommend corrective actions.
• Verify contractor progress and ensure accurate progress measurement.

Penspen is urgently looking for Specialist Planning Engineer (Offshore) role for one of our Offshore PMC projects in Abu Dhabi.

Responsible for planning, scheduling, and monitoring offshore construction activities. Duties include updating project schedules, measuring progress, analyzing delays and critical paths, preparing reports and forecasts, and developing recovery plans with construction teams and contractors.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain offshore construction schedules using Primavera P6.
• Monitor progress against the approved baseline schedule.

Requirements

• Bachelor's in engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 17+ years of experience in project planning and cost control within the oil and gas industry, including offshore project exposure.
• Minimum 5+ years in Offshore Projects is mandatory
• PMC experience will be preferred
• Previous experience in the ADNOC projects in the similar role would be an added advantage
• Strong knowledge of planning and cost control tools (e.g., Primavera P6, SAP, Excel).
