Role Context

The Specialist Physician – OBGYN will provide comprehensive care for women across prenatal, natal, postnatal, reproductive health, and gynecological stages. The role requires a physician who can combine strong diagnostic ability, surgical competence, patient education, and clear Arabic communication to support women and families through important healthcare decisions. Working with midwives, neonatologists, anesthesiologists, nurses, and other specialists, the physician will help deliver safe, respectful, and coordinated care for both routine and complex women’s health cases.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct detailed consultations for women's health concerns, pregnancy care, reproductive health, menstrual disorders, fertility‑related issues, and gynecological conditions.
Manage routine and high‑risk pregnancies with close attention to maternal health, fetal wellbeing, clinical risks, and patient‑specific care plans.
Provide antenatal, natal, and postnatal care, including pregnancy monitoring, birth planning, recovery guidance, and follow‑up support.
Perform gynecological and obstetric procedures such as cesarean sections, hysterectomies, laparoscopies, D and C, colposcopy, and selected fertility‑related interventions.
Assess diagnostic results, ultrasound findings, laboratory investigations, and clinical histories to guide accurate treatment decisions.
Collaborate with midwives, neonatologists, anesthesiologists, nurses, radiologists, fertility teams, and other healthcare professionals for integrated patient care.
Communicate clearly with Arabic‑speaking patients and families to explain diagnoses, treatment options, procedure risks, pregnancy progress, and follow‑up plans.
Maintain accurate patient records, consultation notes, procedure documentation, consent records, discharge summaries, and clinical follow‑up plans.
Ensure care delivery follows hospital protocols, evidence‑based clinical guidelines, patient safety standards, and regulatory expectations.
Participate in departmental audits, CME activities, case discussions, morbidity reviews, and quality improvement initiatives.
Support respectful, culturally aware, and confidential care for women from diverse backgrounds.
Contribute to smoother patient journeys by coordinating timely referrals, investigations, procedures, and multidisciplinary reviews.

Ideal Profile

Medical degree such as MBBS, MD, or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
Specialist qualification in Obstetrics and Gynecology, such as Arab Board, MRCOG, or equivalent recognized certification.
Minimum 5 years of post‑specialization experience in a hospital, maternity unit, or women’s health clinic.
Fluent Arabic communication skills, both spoken and written, are required.
Strong experience in prenatal care, postnatal care, routine pregnancy management, high‑risk pregnancy support, and gynecological diagnosis.
Proven surgical capability in obstetric and gynecological procedures, including cesarean section and common gynecological operations.
Good understanding of maternal‑fetal wellbeing, patient counselling, consent discussions, and evidence‑based women’s healthcare.
Excellent interpersonal skills with culturally sensitive communication and a patient‑centered approach.
Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams in a busy clinical setting.
Strong commitment to accurate documentation, patient confidentiality, clinical quality, and continuous professional development.
Eligibility for UAE healthcare licensing is preferred.
