Job summary

Sheikh Sultan Bin Zayed Hospital in Abu Dhabi seeks a dedicated Specialist in Pediatric Endocrinology to join a multidisciplinary team. The role focuses on diagnosing, managing, and providing long-term care for pediatric endocrine and metabolic disorders, including diabetes, thyroid issues, growth and puberty concerns.

You will collaborate with endocrinologists, diabetes educators, nutritionists, nurses and allied health professionals, participate in on-call rotations, and contribute to quality

Qualifications

• Board-certified specialist in pediatric endocrinology.
• Strong clinical background in pediatric endocrine and metabolic disorders.
• Experience in both general pediatrics and specialty endocrine care.
• Excellent communication and collaborative care approach.
• DOH licensure or eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert assessment, diagnosis, and management of pediatric endocrine disorders.
• Lead care for children with Type 1 diabetes, growth disorders, thyroid dysfunction and pubertal issues.
• Deliver general pediatric care within outpatient and specialized clinics.
• Collaborate with endocrinologists, diabetes educators, nutritionists, nurses and allied teams.
• Participate in on-call rota to ensure continuous medical coverage.
• Contribute to patient education and clinical quality initiatives.

This role focuses on the diagnosis, management, and long-term care of pediatric endocrine and metabolic disorders. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical expertise in conditions such as diabetes, thyroid disorders, growth and puberty issues, and other hormone-related conditions, while also supporting general pediatric needs within a specialty-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert assessment, diagnosis, and management of pediatric endocrine disorders.
• Lead the care of children with conditions such as Type 1 diabetes, growth disorders, thyroid dysfunction, metabolic disorders, and pubertal abnormalities.
• Deliver general pediatric care as needed within outpatient and specialized clinic settings.
• Collaborate closely with endocrinologists, diabetes educators, nutritionists, nurses, and allied health teams to deliver comprehensive, family-centered care.
• Participate in the hospital's on-call rota to ensure safe and continuous medical coverage.
• Contribute to patient education, clinical quality initiatives, and evidence-based practice.

Qualifications

• Board-certified or equivalent Specialist Pediatric Endocrinologist.
• Strong clinical background in pediatric endocrine and metabolic disorders.
• Experience in both general pediatrics and specialty endocrine care.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach to care.
