This consultant appointment provides specialist care for children with acute, chronic, congenital, and complex endocrine or metabolic conditions. The physician will assess growth, development, hormone function, glucose regulation, bone health, and puberty before establishing individualized treatment and long-term monitoring plans. The role spans outpatient clinics, inpatient consultations, neonatal and pediatric intensive care support, multidisciplinary case management, and family education. Accurate diagnosis and sustained follow-up will help improve disease control, normal development, treatment adherence, and quality of life for children living with long-term endocrine conditions.
Applicants must hold an MD, MBBS, or equivalent medical degree from a recognized institution and possess board certification in Pediatrics. Formal fellowship training in Pediatric Endocrinology is required. Accepted specialist credentials may include American Board, Royal College, Arab Board, or another recognized equivalent. Candidates should have at least eight to ten years of post-specialization experience, including established consultant-level practice. Strong expertise in pediatric diabetes, growth disorders, thyroid disease, adrenal and pituitary conditions, puberty abnormalities, congenital endocrine disorders, and metabolic bone disease is essential. Eligibility for a Dubai Health Authority Consultant licence is required. The successful physician will demonstrate advanced diagnostic judgment, compassionate family communication, strong leadership, and effective multidisciplinary teamwork. Fluency in English is required. Arabic language proficiency would be advantageous.
